It’s been 2 weeks since New Zealand was placed into Alert Level 4 and we all started to realise our new normal which is living life in Lockdown.
For the staff at ESA we have been very lucky to be set up to work from home, with the exception of our warehouse staff. We are not yet essential services so our warehouse door has been closed since the Wednesday 25th March. The staff worked extremely hard to get as many books and orders out the door to our customers before we went into lockdown.
This is a time in our lives no one will ever forget.
Some parents now try to juggle work from home and kids, and an added pressure of being a teacher too. Not an easy time but the main focus is of course to stay safe, follow the rules and unite against Covid19.
During the last few weeks our management have been working with the Ministry of Education to see how we can best support our at home learners.
We are really proud that we have united with the Ministry of Education in providing hard copy books for students who otherwise would miss out on school during the lockdown.
Over 100,000 books are ready to be distributed for all levels of schooling.
In this link you can find information on the hard copy packs for Years 1-10
There is also a link for NCEA Resources.
A big shout out to the hard working teachers, students and their families. Stay safe.
We are all in this together.
