What's been happening?

Hi all.

2020 continues to be full of bumps and surprises doesn’t it?

Thankfully we seem to be on a good journey again now as the rest of NZ enjoys the freedom of Level 1, and us here in Auckland have a bit more freedom with Level 2.

Thank you for your patience if during these times parcels arrived a little later than usual.
We have had a lot going on with all our customer’s - Trade, School and our online customers via Social Media.
Trade: Every order during the month of August for 10 or more AME Workbooks, was automatically entered into the draw to win a staff morning tea shout.   We are pleased to share that Paper Plus Dunedin were our lucky winners. On Thursday 24th September they will be enjoying a wonderful morning tea delivered by The Good Oil Café.  Enjoy team.
Schools: Every Secondary School in New Zealand has been contacted, and sent (if requested) a complimentary box of our 2020 AME Workbooks.  We hope you enjoy these resources.  We are already seeing a great response in orders as students prepare for exams, which are approaching fast.
Online and Social Media:  We had a huge response to our online discount code: COVIDSUCKS which gave a 10% discount on all online orders.  (Hopefully also gave you a giggle).  Get in quick this one ends September 30.
We had the pleasure of working with Butterfly Creek in a recent Facebook competition, for well deserving Auckland families following our Level 3 Lockdown.
We hope the winner and her family have a great day out together.
Last week was Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, and we enjoyed celebrating each day with something different on our Facebook page.
We have created two posters, that you can download for free on our website.
We also had an awesome competition where we partnered with Te Reo Singalong books - and our winner - Cara has been notified today :)
Thanks to Sharon at Te Reo Singalong for your prize.
Watch our pages next week for School Holiday competitions.
You never know where ESA Books will pop up.  Our Start Right Workbook featured on Toni Street's Instagram page, with one of her beautiful daughters, hard at work (but of course having fun too!)  Thanks Toni, for letting us share your picture.
Conferences: Sadly, thanks to Covid, most of the conferences we were to attend to date have been cancelled or postponed. I am missing, as are the rest of the team, that space where we get to interact with our customers on a personal level.
We really hope that we get to be part of SCICON in November this year.
The Firelight Foundation have been travelling the country running events for home educators.  We were planning to attend the event in Hamilton, how-ever even though we didn’t make it, we did manage to get some sample books and freebies down to them. Sounds like they had a lovely day.
I’ll wrap things up for now, and hope that next time I am writing, Auckland has joined the rest of the country in Level 1.
In the mean time, stay safe and stay kind.
Cheers Julz
