Hi all. 2020 continues to be full of bumps and surprises doesn’t it? Thankfully we seem to be on a good journey again now as the rest of NZ enjoys the freedom of Level 1, and us here in Auckland have a bit more freedom with Level 2. The mixed bag that is 2020!

Hey there!   Our Office is situated in Auckland so right now we are on Alert Level 3. Our office and warehouse continue to operate with skeleton staff, and the rest of the staff work off site from their home office. ESA Management has been very supportive in setting us up form home, so even before we went back to Level 3 we were enjoying the work-life balance of doing some work from our homes.   So here we are again. Mid Year already!

Well 2020, has been a crazy ride so far.  We hope you are keeping well. We have been busy here at ESA. There are many new titles/editions recently arrived, at the printers and soon to be printed. NCEA changes to address COVID-19 impact

13 May 2020 The Government has announced changes to NCEA, which give students more time to prepare for end of year assessment and help manage the impact of the disruption COVID-19 has caused to schooling. Immediate changes are: Examinations for NCEA and New Zealand Scholarship will now begin on 16 November instead of 6 November, and end on 9 December instead of 2 December. An updated examination timetable is available here. The submission date for subjects which require students to submit a portfolio is being extended to 12 November 2020. Level 2..... Here we come

A month ago, when I last wrote we were half way through Alert Level 4 Lockdown and all trying to get our head around our new “normal".ESA was given essential services toward the end of Level 4, so we were able to start working on the orders that were waiting, and getting stock out to service the trade online stores.
