Level 3 Fluent Writing Learning Workbook covers the NCEA Level 3 Achievement Standard 91475 (English 3.4) 'Produce a selection of fluent and coherent writing which develops, sustains, and structures ideas'.
This Achievement Standard is based on The New Zealand Curriculum.
To meet the requirements of this standard, students are expected to create a portfolio of written work in a range of both creative and formal genres - such as descriptions, narratives, columns and opinion pieces. Two polished pieces of writing, selected from the portfolio, are to be submitted for assessment at the end of the year.
This workbook provides students with detailed guidance in researching information, developing and structuring ideas, exploring different writing styles and editing written work. Strategies to is when dealing with each type of writing are discussed and put into practice.
